The Lady Behind the Booth!

Hi! I’m Whimsy – I mean, Brooke. Nah!! I’m Natalie. Brooke is my middle name. Haha!! It’s a running joke – I just had to. I’ll answer to both names though!

I’m a 35 year old woman living in Windsor, Ontario Canada. I live in a historical side of town and I absolutely love it. I moved here about 3 years ago now, and it’s been lovely seeing my growth and such…

Now, how did Whimsy Brooke come about? Before I get into it – I’ve always been an entrepreneur – ever since I was little… I did Kool Aid stands with my dad, had my own Babysitters Club (that got into the news!) and 2 other craft businesses. One was Natalie Brooke Designs (original, I know!) and She’s Gone Postal (which was tongue in cheek – of course!) I loved every moment and learned so much through all these ventures. I did a few craft shows back in the day, and let me tell you – craft shows, markets, and pop ups of today are a whole new world!!! Wow! Night and day.

Anyways – my close friend Cece interviewed me for a school project (find the interview here) and while she has always been supportive she really laid down the law and encouraged me hardcore this time!! In the next couple days (or minutes, I can’t remember!!) I made my instagram and ordered a few stickers. Brainstorming all along, I came up with a name and all the business things to follow suit! I was and still am in my element. I started designing more stickers and the rest is history. I now offer collaged products including: bookmarks, postcards, ATC’s, and letter writing sets. And, of course there’s more to come!

A bit of a back story… ever since I was little I’ve loved stickers, notebooks, and everything artsy!

Looking back I stuck stickers on everything and anything (including my dad’s mustangs interior door!) AND I still stick them on everything; water bottles, electronics, envelopes, my walls (with tape on the back!) and so on! I’m a sticker fiend. Haha!

I also love me some stationery; notebooks, pens, pencils, notepads, greeting cards and other snail mail goodies! I once had 50 penpals at a time. And, I organized a snail mail online magazine with friends + an online penpal site! So much fun, back in the day! Below are some photos of some pages inside the magazine I designed.

All this in short – is why I decided to open up shop!
