This isn’t the end of Musings of a Brunette. This is the beginning of Whimsy Brooke – a side quest of the brunette in front of the computer screen. And, boy is she thriving in this season!

Musings of a Brunette

My blog came to be in 2010 – I was twenty years old… that’s 16 years ago! Oh my word. Time sure flies! It was categorized as a lifestyle blog where I posted things ranging from DIY’s and crafts to interviews. I also was approached by PR for the brand Sorel and did a 12 Days of Bootmas series for the holidays! That was so much fun!!

Whimsy Brooke – A New Venture!

I started my business March 1st of 2025 after a close friend interviewed me for a school project. Through this she encouraged me to finally launch that sticker shop I’ve always wanted to own.

Ever since I was a little girl, I’ve been obsessed with stickers. From sticking them all over the interior car door of my dad’s mustang to collecting them in my sticker book (remember those?!)

When I got into planning (specifically Happy Planner) I fell in love with stickers all over again and soon found myself on a couple PR teams for Canadian sticker shops. I’m so thankful for these opportunities as I learnt a lot about owning a small business!

Fast forward to now – I’m currently still working on launching my shop but am going to take a bit of a break to recoup from today’s adventure of purchasing this new domain and setting it up. Haha! Next time I hope to report the grand opening sale! If not – I’m sure I’ll have more news, and behind the scenes! Eep!! So excited.
